Last night, the big news on Twitter was the official title of Wiz Khalifa’s album, but today it seemed as though the music world was focused around Kid Cudi’s return to the social networking site. To celebrate his first day back since deleting his account in 2009, Cudi took to the 140-character text box to let his fans know that the Shia LaBeouf-directed video for “Maniac” will come out sometime this year; that he is pushing for a summer release of “Wizard”, his collaborative with producer Dot Da Genius (“Day N’ Nite”), which he also announced will be “a rock album, no raps, just singing” and feature “Dose of Dopeness” as a bonus track; that he is “workin on some jay and ye shit”; that he will begin shooting for the the second season of the NYC-based HBO series How To Make It In America in March; and last but not least, that we should expect a new mixtape from him this summer, entitled A Man Named Scott. To ensure that his entire fan base receives the CuDi they love most in 2011, the mixtape will be focused on rapping. All in all, this looks like a big year for the KiD! Or should we say man? Thanks to Matt Morris.
