The Ralph Lauren Sporting Watch seen here draws its inspirations from Ralph Lauren’s antique car, the 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic coupe. The watch’s aesthetics combine the luxurious wood finish of the Bugatti with a matte black dial, all of which are reminiscent of the car’s interior. With a neat and easy to read dial, the watch’s timing is top-notch thanks to IWC’s own involvement. The watch will carry a suggested retail price of $13,200 USD.

Flagship concept stores can create that special augmented-reality retail experience, and that is exactly what CONVERSE is aiming for with the opening this Friday of it’s first specialty retail store in Soho. Having just opened a similarly-purposed temple of CONVERSE on Newbury Street in Boston, CONVERSE is now targeting the retail cherry that is Lower Manhattan, hoping to absorb some recession-proofing coolness. But not to be overly critical of the concept, the execution is pretty well though out, in part thanks to architect Jennifer Turner, who has done buildouts for Kate Spade, and whose furniture is featured in MoMA.

This is the Cadillac Aera, an amalgamation of Cadillac’s philosophy of “Art and Science” that dives into a whole new world of innovative and ultra lightweight vehicles. Realistically speaking, the chances of ever seeing a car like this at your local Starbucks are as probable as winning 100 lotteries in a single year.
For December 2010 the Nike SB Dunk Low Premium comes with an elephant pattern over most of the upper. The aforementioned texture is embossed across the toe as well printed on the midsole, while mesh, patent leather and griptape panels complete the uppers. On view through November 27, 2010 at Osaka’s CAS, Mitsuhiro Okamoto’s “Batta Mon” sculptures raise questions about the relationship between authenticity and imitation. Billionaire Boys Club and Ice Cream may have ventured into the more tailored (see: adoption of selvedge denim into collection) but it doesn’t mean the labels are forgetting their roots in graphic t-shirts and caps, which have been fan staples since the labels’ inceptions. This November, the labels are dropping fresh t-shirts which adhere to the BBC and Ice Cream theme, which a bit of playfulness and whimsical attitude. The BBC “In The Leopard Print” T-shirt features the astronaut navigating his way through leopard prints (which also happened to look like asteroids), and the Ice Cream “Cherry Monster” T-Shirt continues to serve up the indispensable sundae toppings with a face. Of course, the purple New Era cap gets a little frosty and tribal, and should be right up the alley of Ice Cream fans

Originally introduced in 1985 the Nike Dunk has become a staple of the sneaker community with much of it’s notoriety and acceptance coming in 2002 when Nike SB modified it for skateboarders by adding a padded tongue and a Nike Zoom Air-sole unit into the heel of the shoe. Aside from those few small changes the shoe has remained true to it’s original however with the ten year anniversary of Nike SB fast approaching, the brand looked to give the shoe a makeover and make it even better by providing it with better gripping outsole, more board feel via better cushioning, and improving the fit while eliminating pressure points. The Nike Pro SB will be made available in January 2011 and for more information on the Dunk Pro SB visit Nikeskateboarding.com starting next month. Take a look at the preview video of the new Dunk Pro SB after the jump.
According to a press release Dr. Dre plans to eventually let loose Detox – easily one of this year’s most anticipated releases – in February 2011. In addition, the opus will feature illustrious guests like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Akon, Jay-Z, La Roux and The Game. The first three artists have been featured in the doc’s “Kush” and “I Need A Doctor”. The former is set to serve as the album’s first single with an release on Sunday whereas there is no official word concerning the latter. Given Dre’s earlier announcement that no pre-”Kush” leaks – including “Under Pressure” – will make the final cut of the album, it is likely that Dre and Jay recorded new music together. Stay tuned.

The LUCKY LOVE CHAIR’ is made by Dutch craftsmanship, and you can see and feel the time and attention we all put into it. The first impression is a comfortable happy inviting product. The clear use of materials shows how it’s made. This part is the Dutch design part. It has also some Scandinavian characteristics in the black frame and the real wood that is used. I also recognize some Japanese details in it, such as the graphical iconic shapes of the heart and the fingers.

Even for a feature about sneakers, compiling this one was no easy task. Complex has taken on some serious challenges in past “Greatest Footwear” features, but perhaps none required so much care as Ye’s footwear retrospective. One of the best things about this feature is that it dates back to the early 2000’s, providing a good perspective on how many, well, trends Kanye has cycled through. You can’t overlook the fact, however, that Kanye’s style – and he obviously has it for life – is a bit of a barometer for all of us; where he went, we followed. Maybe not you personally, but we as a culture did. But anyway – the shoes: nothing is missing. Ye shows the hip hop standard Air Max, Bapesta and Jordan, along with casual Vans and Chucks. And no surprise, we see the label-fiend with Lanvins, Dior Hommes, Margielas, and Ato Matsumotos. Rounded out with multiple versions of the Air Yeezy, and his own LV Dons, Jaspers and Mr Hudsons, plus a few obscure gems, like the United Arrows x New Balance 997.5. Check the feature after the jump; it’s quite a visual journey for the shoe fans, the Amber Rose fans, or those who want a good look at the evolution of Mr West – pre Runaway Click here to see the collection!.
