Nike Dunk – Be True To Your Street Collection

Nike Japan has sneakerheads all over the world breaking out the translation tools today, with the announcement of the Be True To Your Street Collection. The collection includes 20 sneakers, both high top and low, a number of which are contenders for the nicest Dunks we’ve ever seen. There are a few more uses of the polka dot-embossed leather we showed on this January 2011 Dunk High, as well as a few tasteful uses of plaid panels. The collection is strongly influenced by the history of the Dunk, and contains a number of references to the bold color schemes that were born as the shoe became a staple of NCAA athletes. One standout overall feature is the variety of materials used: the aforementioned embossed leather, along with distressed leather and beautiful suede – and the showstopping suede/pebbled leather combinations. The Be True To Your Street Collection is set for a December 18th release – in Japan. Check out images of each shoe after the jump, along with a few campaign images from Nike.
