It’s no secret that the shoes from yesteryear eventually become templates for many of today’s newly designed models. With the rich history of the sneakers, and the fan base they carry with em, Nike’s hope is to revamp the original designs and have them widely accepted due to the fact their based off something which is already a top seller in the market.
Nike’s done such a thing with the classic Blazer, taking the simple, casual kicks and using them to base a slew of other sneakers around, including a few boots as we’ve seen with the Blazer inspired Nike ACG Air Magma. As it turns out the Blazer sketches must still be on the drawing board and Nike must still be designing new silhouettes around it as they’ve just released the Nike Player, a sneaker with heavy Blazer influences.
For the most part the Nike Player features a construction almost identical to the Blazer. They even include a vulcanized sole unit which has been accustom to Blazer releases. The major difference is obviously the Swoosh, which has been scaled down and placed on the lower half of the heel
