Koenigsegg Agera R – Speed Racer Inspired Custom Edition

In the stodgy club of “cars cost more than some nations’ GDP”, the Koenigsegg Agera certainly stands out.  In addition to it being from the socially conscious Sweden (at least usually), the car recently took home Top Gear’s Hyper Car of the Year Award, along with a Medusa-like bust of show host Jeremy Clarkson.  Now comes another variant, the Koenigsegg Agera R.  To debut on the floors of Geneva Auto Show tomorrow, the 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8 generates 1,115 horsepower, 885 lb-ft torque on biofuels (very Swedish like), or 940 horsepower, 811 lb-ft torque on regular gasoline.  Customized for an avid skier, the model on display will feature a one of the kind carbon fiber roof case by Thule for skis stowaway, swappable with a regular carbon fiber roof unit.  It turns out the proud owner is also a Speed Racer fan and requested the car maker to paint his new purchase in the color scheme of the Mach 5. Go Speed Racer Go!
