Jay-Z & Eminem Open Up For Each Other

It looks like hip-hop superstars Jay-Z & Eminem are joining efforts for a collaboration. They haven't really linked up since they collabed on "Renegade" back in 2001, but it looks like each rap mega star will be doing the other one a favor, opening their show for them. That's right, Jay-Z and Eminem are set to take part in a two part concert series that's going to be held at the baseball stadiums of each of their hometowns. When Eminem does his concert at Comerica Park in Detroit, MI on Thursday (September 2) Jay-Z will serve as Em's opening act, and when Jay-Z headlines his show at Yankee Stadium on Monday (September 13). This concert extravaganza is being set up by Live Nation. The two emcees spoke on the events in a press release.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime set of shows and I know we're both really going to bring it to our hometowns," Eminem said in a press release. "The fans are going to love this and so am I. It's gonna be historic."
"These shows are like a dream come true," Jay-Z offered. "I've always hoped that hip-hop could play any stadium like other genres of music. How perfect is it that Eminem and I get to play our hometowns and show how far the live rap experience has come? Fun and historic — a great combination all around the board."
