J. Cole was named “Hottest new MC” by MTV recently, and there is a strong sense of anticipation for his upcoming album, Cole World. On the of the single, “Who Dat?,” Cole has been sprinkling out tracks here and there to build up the hype for the album, and this single, honoring Bun B. is probably an unreleased and unfinished track, as there is a long verse and extended instrumental built off of a jazz sample in a production reminiscent of 90s New York hip-hop.
